The East African country of Tanzania has - beside its countless breathtaking natural resources and fascinating fauna and flora – still to offer a lot of other things: In particular the colourful paintings of the Tingatinga artists and the other various handicrafts made of different natural products. The local artists and craftsmen as well as many micro-scale enterprises in Tanzania try to secure their modest living of their families with these art works. Nevertheless, this is quite difficult, because they seldom can rely on regular sales and on an appropriate marketing or have - in often very remote areas without infrastructure - no access to suitable markets.
KERAMICA TANZANIA tries to act here as a mediator and to set certain quality standards. This organisation collects typical products from all parts of Tanzania and is offering those at reasonable prices and conditions.
