KERAMICA TANZANIA is an independent Tanzanian fair trade company, which stands for the improvement of the living conditions of local artists and craftsmen as well as for the support of their micro- and small-scale business in Tanzania.

In this case KERAMICA appears as a mediator, establishing requirements for quality, collects suitable products from the different regions and offers these at fair conditions.

- Tingatinga paintings originating directly from the source of the Tingatinga Art at Dar-es-Salaam (Tingatinga Co-Operative <TACS> / Morogoro Store).

- The famous Makonde carvings and the miniature paintings on snail-shells as well as on coconut segments come from the southeast of Tanzania.

- From the Mbeya region comes the nice genuine-coloured pottery with scratch and Graphite decorations.

- Products made of grass and wooden fibres, like wickerwork and bowls, are coming from the dry regions of Tanzania.

- From the border areas to Congo (DRC) closed to the Tanganyika Lake colourful decorative woven products reach us, the precious so-called "Raffia".

- In the environs of  Mount Kilimanjaro different products are hand-made of horn, wood and soap stone.

- Small-scale-enterprises contribute to KERAMICA medical soaps, but also coffee, tea and in particular exotic spices from Zanzibar.

- The ceramic products are originating from the regions of Dar-es-Salaam and Same. Our rare antique trade beads are collected at the beaches of Zanzibar.

Apart from the major local outlets in Dar-es-Salaam, Arusha and Zanzibar, the international market is served through the German representation of KERAMICA and the internet.
