Apart from the typical colourful bead work of the Masai, other locally hand-made jewellery is rarely found in Tanzania.
KERAMICA offers local jewellery from antique coloured trade beads of the very early colonial traders (found at the beaches of Zanzibar) and brightly painted wooden pearls (origin of Dar-es-Salaam). Also decorated bracelets and bangles from coconut shells (origin of Mtwara) as well as bangles made of ebony are on offer.
Heavy amber jewellery from the coastal region round-off the range of items offered.
